Swim for Steve was a big SPLASH!

We want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support that we received at the “Swim for Steve” event. We couldn’t believe the response! It was far more than we ever expected. It will be such a blessing to us to have peace of mind regarding the medical bills. A special thanks to Hilltop Aquatics Swim Team and the American Fork Fitness Center and to Shannon Arnoldsen who arranged all the donations.   It was a perfect location and Stephen felt at home there!  Please support the following businesses who supported the event if you have the opportunity to.

It doesn’t seem like enough to just say thanks but we don’t have any other words for it. We love you all!  We posted just a few of the pictures from the Swim for Steve event.

Stephen felt so good on Sunday that he drove to Provo and went to church with his BYU ward.  He even stayed long enough to get his home teaching done Sunday night.  After such a great weekend, life went on come Monday morning.  Stephen had a second chemo treatment of Gemcitabine today.  Jeff started a project management consulting job in American Fork last week.  We are so thankful for a new opportunity for him.  However, that leaves  us both at work during the day.  But not to worry, we have so many friends and family members who are willing to help.  My sister Ann took him to chemo today and brought him home.  Then my sister Jill stopped by with hot soup and rolls just as I came home from work.  What a life!

Stephen has been sleeping and feeling pretty sick ever since he came home from the hospital this afternoon.   He will feel better in a couple of days.  He gets to have next week off to rest.   We will meet with the oncologist next week to find out what happens next.  I am guessing that they will do a couple more of these treatments before doing another PT test to see if the cancer is responding.

May God bless each of you for what kind and compassionate souls you are.  We love you!

About Jane Griener

I am from SLC, UT. I grew up in a wonderful family in the south part of the Salt Lake valley. I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers. I married my best friend, Jeff Griener when we were 21 years old. We have 6 children. 4 boys and 2 girls. I've had many adventures in business and life. Too many to tell about in a simple 'about you' spot. My life is centered around my family and they are the most important factor in my life. I like gardening, photography, cooking, knitting, graphic design and lots of other things. I speak a little spanish. Fall is my favorite season of the year, but I think having all 4 seasons is what makes me love fall so much. Religion plays a big roll in my life. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Striving to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and become a better person each day is my goal. Well, that is a bit 'about me!'
